Workshop Description: Are your students bored in your ag. business class? Yes, you can get students excited about recordkeeping and business! Participants will learn about a new teaching tool that motivates students to get actively engaged in learning business management concepts. This is a hands-on workshop—participants will play Reap with The Farming Game®. What is Reap? Reap is a business management simulation that takes a classic board game and players manage their own businesses by tracking their financial transactions using accounting worksheets. After learning the mechanics of the game and double-entry accounting, students want to learn how to make more money. Reap creates “ah-ha” teachable moments for teachers to help their students learn how to make better decisions through investing and financial analysis strategies. Come prepared to “Show Me The Moolah!” and experience a fun, engaging workshop.
